IP consulting and more
In an increasingly tough competitive environment, every company must progressively address the question of how to keep its segment competitors at bay. What has always worked in the past, namely bringing better products to market faster than the competition can copy them, no longer works.
An appropriate IP strategy that focuses on the comprehensive protection of your business case with patents, trademarks, and designs can give you a decisive advantage here. It's about rethinking, moving away from the question “What have I developed?” to the question “What don't I want to see on the market?” The answers to these questions are usually not the same, as I will explain here. But the impact is fundamental!
I would like to help you protect the products you have developed with all the possibilities of industrial property rights so that you can keep your prices at a higher level for much longer than you can now — ideally for the next twenty years.
My services for you
Implementing and anchoring the IP strategy
We are all familiar with initiatives that were introduced with great fanfare and quickly disappeared again. I will help you to permanently embed this new way of thinking in your company.
Developing a tailor-made IP strategy
The IP strategy is part of the business strategy. As such, it must be tailored precisely to your company. There is no off-the-shelf solution. I would be happy to help you with this.
Structure and processes of an IP department
I am also happy to share my many years of experience in setting up, organizing, and managing an IP department with you, whether it be new IPM software, monitoring third-party intellectual property rights, or integrating AI.
As a German patent attorney (in-house patent attorney), European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney, and UPC Representative, I have extensive knowledge of intellectual property law.
After training at two of Germany's leading patent and law firms, I worked for almost five years as an in-house patent attorney at a German automotive supplier. Since October 2021, I have been head of the patent department at BHS Corrugated Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH.
In parallel to this extremely exciting role, I would like to pass on the approaches and methods that have proven so successful at my employer and others to other companies and actively support them on their way to securing their economic success in the long term.
Proven strategies from practice for practice, tailored precisely to your needs. That is my goal.
